Some of the new terms that we learned this week is plagiarism and digital citizenship. Plagiarism means the paraphrase or direct quote, of the published work of another person without full or clear acknowledgement. The other terms that we learned was digital citizenship which is safe, responsible, and ethical approach to interacting online. One of my favorite one's is connect culture which means to treat people the way that you want to be treated; no cyberbullying.
Some new web 2.0 tools that we learned this week is mixbook, prezi, and diigo. Some positives of all of these is that they are all good tools to use for projects and presentation. If someone was doing a presentation I would recommend them to do prezi because you can zoom in and out and also it has amazing backgrounds. I really don't believe that there is any thing negative about any of these. The only thing that I will say about mixbook it is that make sure that your stickers don't cover your words.
Ethics is the digital literacy component that we learned and it means to have a set of moral about people’s behavior- requires honesty and respect. Ethics should be used every where exspecialy on the internet.
This information affected my personal/acadiment life because I know how to be safe online and what is really plagiarism because before we actually talked about it I thought that changing word makes it my work.
